"When you are looking for a person to build your home, a very large investment in both monetary and emotional capital, you want someone who will do the right thing all the time. Rusty Robertson and Barrett Wright were the right people for us and our home.
With the added challenges of a remote build, us being in Texas and building in Virginia, Rusty and Barrett kept an open line of communication with regular updates and made the process seamless and enjoyable. They were quick to resolve any issues that arose and were responsive to our questions and concerns.
Rusty and Barrett have an excellent relationship with the professionals they work with; the craftspeople who get the job done right. We can recommend Robertson Custom Homes without reservation."

Syria, VA
Custom cottage consisting of 1,411 sq. ft. of finished living space, 196 sq. ft. screen porch, and stamped concrete front porch. Interior includes vaulted ceilings, spiral staircase with stainless steel rod and black powder coated post railing, and 8 ¼ inch Woodura white oak flooring.
"We used Robertson Custom Homes for a new construction project to include a guest cottage and to rebuild a garage and add a second floor studio. Rusty and his team were fantastic to work with throughout the entire process. Rusty is attentive to detail and listened to our ideas starting with the planning phase and worked seamlessly with the architect to design exactly what we were looking for.
We especially liked that he used his experience and expertise to suggest ideas to us that never would have occurred to us. He also handled any challenges that came up during the process with vendors. Rusty and his foreman were easy to reach and available to answer any questions we had throughout the process, and communicated often to set expectations.
We appreciated that the project stayed within budget, gave us numerous options with cost, and if any line item was expected to be over budget Rusty always gave us a heads up so there were no surprises. The team of subcontractors he used were all very professional and took care not to unnecessarily damage our property while construction was ongoing since we were still residing on the property in a separate house during construction. We plan to use RCH for future building projects, and would highly recommend him."
